THE CHALLENGE IS OVER AND THE WINNER IS...

This was a hard fought battle, all week the Mayor of Kentville and I went to the Indoor Soccer Facility walking for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. We invited you to drop down and walk for at least 20 minutes all week and slide us a couple of bucks for the Heart and Stroke folks. Never in our wildest imaginations did we picture how much money we would take in, and it was because of you, all we did was stand there with our hands out. Thank you so much, and since we were just "guess-timating" at our daily totals, I will now guess-timate how much we raised. We rushed poor Nichole in the office, so I will have an exact total for you Monday morning when the Mayor joins me again to tell you what has become of our little wager on the event. Here's the approx. totals....

THE MAYOR...ALMOST $1000

ME...JUST OVER $500

WE WILL HAVE A GRAND TOTAL OF JUST OVER $1400 TO ANNOUNCE MONDAY MORNING AT 7:40

Kirk Longmire donating from the Coldbrook and District Lions to the Jerry Neville Fund! Thanks, and for that I will call BINGO for you on Monday...AND GIVE YOUR CHILDREN BACK THEIR CAT!

All joking aside, I am standing with 2 great guys, the Mayor of Kentville Dave Corkum and Dwight from the Kentville Indoor Soccer Facility. These guys gave up and hour of their day everyday to devote to all the craziness we called our walking challenge. Both of those guys are really community minded too!

The Mayor is feeling pretty confident he's gonna win.

Getting the big fist pump on his win.

Even more town employees are coming down for Corkum! He's doing transport stuff or something...I stopped listening when he put money in the Mayor's jar! LOL!

Thank-you for helping us out, and I'll see you at the Acadia Hockey game at 7 tonight!
-Jerry
