Bash 4 Cash 2009 was SMASHING!

This is another one of those, "sorry it's been a couple of days since we last talked!" I had to take a bit of time to re-charge the batteries in my camera! I just went to Oaklawn Farm Zoo, and since Jen hadn't been there since she was like 5, I thought what a great way to unwind than at the zoo. She loved it as much as I did! If you haven't been this year, get to Aylesford and take the time to see it!
Jen at the Zoo

Jen's biggest concern was that the lamas would spit at her. Not that they could trample her, or bite her, no but if they would spit on her. I didn't want to disappoint her so I spit on her and blamed the lama! No I Didn't!

COLDBROOK AND DISTRICT LIONS BASH 4 CASH 2009

"I TOLD YOU NOT TO PARK THERE DAD!"

Here is crowd favorite "Black Betty" getting her money for the best hit! She drove up on top of another car! She was a wild woman out there!

Here's the girl who painted the best decorated cars. She was really shy!

These are the Winners of their class in the Bash 4 Cash 2009. Way to go boys!

The Coldbrook and District Lions donated $500 to the Kentville Volunteer Fire Dept.

Smash em up action!

Lindsay Milne and his crew collecting what's left of the cars after the 4 cylinder finals. They did a great job cleaning up after each race, they towed the equivalent of 300 cars in 4 hours!

This is Jerome and he had to meet Guy, and the first question he asked is why he wanted to smash up his truck? He would have taken it before he smashed it up!

A car before the carnage!

Award winning paint job!

The girl who painted this car and an AC/DC one won for best decorated.

I wonder if this car was painted for me?
This is Jerry Palmer, it's hard to get a pic of him because he's always on the go!

The nice guys at the Coldbrook Lions gave me a Bash 4 Cash t-shirt!

The shirt that Jerry Palmer gave me had a target painted on it! Last year a car almost hit me, so he thought he would make it easier this year!

Guy Meister and one of the craziest things I have ever seen in my life. Play this video and you'll see what I mean!

Thanks to all the sponsors of this event, the Coldbrook Lions, Waterville and Kentville VFD, all the drivers, and the fans for getting into the action. If you weren't there, you should have been. I met a ton of really nice people, and saw some serious carnage! If you haven't been, then you should plan on it next year, Jen and I will be back.
