THE MAYOR OF KENTVILLE PLAYS TO WIN!

O.K., first off I have underestimated the desire Dave Corkum has to win! In case you don't know, the Mayor of Kentville, Dave Corkum and myself are in a walking challenge to promote heart health for heart and stroke month. All this week the Kentville indoor soccer facility has given us the use of their soccer field from 10-11 to collect money for Heart and Stroke and for people to walk to keep up their heart health. Here's what happened...I walked in and the Mayor along with Kentville Rec's Nichole Lutz were standing in front of a big bucket of money with a professionally done poster behind them, and to top it all off, the Mayor even had a t-shirt made helping him to collect money. I walked in thinking it's his home turf, he would at least have a bucket for me to put money in...NO! I had to get some one's left over lunch container out of the lunch room, and had a little hand written sign beside it. Needless to say, the Mayor raised more money than me.

TOTAL OF DAY 1
MAYOR OF KENTVILLE DAVE CORKUM $95
AVR MORNING GUY JERRY NEVILLE 11 CENTS!

This is at 5 minutes to 11, but when the most people were here it was close to 200 people! Pre-schoolers play in the middle with their moms and dads too. This is great exercise for everyone!

Here's the Mayor in his fancy t-shirt. I can't believe how hard he plays to win! I'm glad he's my friend that's for sure!

This is what I walked into at the Kentville indoor soccer facility. It's the Mayor of Kentville Dave Corkum and his evil assistant Nichole Lutz plotting to beat me at yet another challenge! I will be ready for you tomorrow Mayor Corkum, I have some tricks up my sleeve for you! I don't have the budget you do, but I do own macaroni, glue, and sparkles! Look out, you are gonna be in trouble Mr.!
On the show tomorrow you will get a chance to meet Crystal Taylor, she's the lady in Waterville who needs a double lung transplant and has to be in Toronto to get it. There will be a fund raiser at the Berwick Lion's Hall Saturday from 4-6:30 (or until the last person is fed), and I have invited 2 of my friends to come and play music while we raise money, I'll tell you who they are tomorrow morning.
