KENTVILLE TORCH LIGHT PARADE 2009

To start the Christmas season, the Town of Kentville has it's torch light parade and lighting of center square. It's a nice family affair, and a chance to get out in the community. Here again, out of sequence because someday i will learn how to do this properly, are the pics and one vid. Check me out at youtube.com, look for jerryneville1.

I got to meet one of the torch bearers from the Yarmouth leg of the tour, Nathan Walsh. He lives in Kentville, and it was just coincidence that when I opened the paper, his picture was in there. Just so there is no confusion, this was not the Olympic torch Parade, this was the "Oh I need to see Santa so I can ask him for an ipod for Christmas" kinda parade.

Here he is alone, and with the light over his torch, it looks lit!

Me after the lighting. I was wiped out!

Some of the special guest speakers

Town Mayor Dave Corkum.

Everyone had these glow sticks.

Getting ready for the speeches.

There was quite a crowd in Center Square for the lighting.

Parade moving down Webster Street.

Hunter "Mr. Radio" Brule, Lisa 'Weezie" P-Dog, JoJo the cruiser girl for one last week Johnson, and Amanda "if I can bump into it and get a bruise I will" Milne before the Parade.

I don't know what Jennifer is thinking here! It's a good thing I got to her, because it looks like she is feeding our dog Pepe glow sticks! Don't eat them Pepe! She still looks amazingly bored.

Getting ready just before the parade started moving

Santa arriving on time!

Hunter is talking to this nice fellow on the right, Jen is tending to Pepe in the front, and what is Amanda Milne doing? She is rushing over to help my dog look more festive. Run Pepe! Run!
I told you to run Pepe! She likes the attention anyway!

Town Councillor Tony and from Kentville Parks and Rec Lindsay

The town tree right in the middle of the "Oh God I hate this merge thingy" merge in front of Town Hall. Good job picking it out KB and the Sunshine band!

Downtown Kentville is beginning to look alot like Christmas!

Innis our fill in producer/Tech with Pepe the Wonder Dog. Can you not see she has mastered the "I'm painfully bored" look.

That's it for now, enjoy the video and I'll see you at Dooly's New Minas tonight at 9, well I'll be there at 9 anyway! Cheers!
