Acadia Finally Wins On The Turf!

2 young ones playing on the bell high speed Internet, at the Bell Aliant store in Greenwood Mall.

What a crazy weekend! First after the show Friday, it was right to Greenwood Mall to get in on some really good deals on TV, phone and Internet, not to mention the palm-pre that is exclusive to Bell. Now if you are the kind of person that can operate most cell phones, and want all the added features, this is you phone. If you like to check facebook on the run, then you have to have this, it is set up with facebook features already to go!

That will give you the link to everything you will need to know.
Saturday started at the football game at Acadia. Acadia had never to this point won a single game on the new turf at Raymond Field. Well, let's just say when Acadia's head coach Jeff C gets a chance to win a first one, then let's say he does it big time! Acadia dominated the game from start to finish, and they paralyzed Mount A's run back game. Good scouting and preparation by the coaching staff on the win. I hope the trend continues this Saturday because they are under the lights against St. Mary's University Huskies.
Saturday will be a big day in Acadia Sports because the hockey team will be playing an exhibition game against Trois Rivere at the Acadia Arena at 5. I will be announcing at the hockey game, and at least throwing t-shirts at the football game as we have fun with Acadia Athletics.
I'm up there in the press box somewhere!

The stands were packed with almost 2000 people there to see the game! I can't wait until Saturday night under the lights! You will notice the addition of cheerleaders too.

Coach Jeff giving some last minute instructions to the boys!

Great action!
After the football, it was out to the Valley Drive In to put on win stickers. If you have an AVR Win Sticker, you get $5 off a car load from now until the rest of the season. Check out their link at avrnetwork.com.
I am going to give blood Wednesday at the Canadian Blood Service Donor clinic, so if you would like to join me at the Kentville fire hall, come on down around 2, but make an appointment if you can 1-888-2-donate. I am hoping for a big surprise on Thursday's show, and Friday is the first day of the Ex in Windsor, so I am sure I'll have some sort of special report.
have fun!
-Jerry
