I am sorry, and I seem to be saying that a lot lately that I haven't been on my blog as much as I should. There is no excuse for it, except there are only 24 hours in a day. I did get to participate in a 4H demonstration night at Somerset School which was extremely fun, and I learned so much about the program and the dedicated volunteers that make it so special for your children. Thanks to Mary McGee, and the other volunteer judges with me that got to eat all the brownies, home made ice cream, biscuits and yummies as we could handle.

To make up for not posting this week, I have included what I have been up to in a series of videos. If you want to see something really cool, you need to see the 1/2 pipe stuff I shot at Ski Martock. I have all the men's runs, and the first round of the women's. I also have the silver medal winning runs for Dallas Rourke and Jeremy Page. Enjoy these videos...with a cup of coffee brewed like this I hope!

Here's another live in studio performance, this time with ECMA nominated Swingology from Hants County.

One of the best parts of being in this country music community, is that the big named country stars treat me as an equal, and it is really cool. I mean how often do you get invited to golf with George Canyon, to go fishing with Paul Brandt, drive golf balls with Gord Bamford and Jason Blaine, and coming up on the AVR Morning Show, I promise you 2 more big named country music stars will be live on the show, plus I will try to track down the Annapolis Valley's own Kevin Davison who is nominated for an ECMA for a live in studio performance, maybe he'll sing his new nationally released song. Here is a guy I have talked to several times in the last year, and we are actually hooking up in Halifax when he is there in April, get your tickets at

A charity that means a whole bunch to the mayor of Kentville is the Heart and Stroke foundation. He is a big promoter of it, and even when he was hosting my show this morning with me he mentioned it on several occasions. Dave puts his money where his mouth is when it comes to physical activity, so for him I interviewed David Ollie about Heart and Stroke month.

Something I am fortunate enough to have is a great relationship with the gang from Ski Martock! Andy, Amanda, Heidi, Annie, Glenn, Josh, Heather and Jim, plus all the lift ops and Ed and Mary Anne from Beaver Tails. Even Ed the Pro Shop guy is educating me on ski equipment. I just feel like the season pass holders get to know the staff and it just becomes like a second home. Ski Martock has also been home to some of the coolest events I have ever seen. I saw a parallel giant salmon and a half pipe competition that was just some the wildest stuff ever. Check out this Canada Games action from where I was standing.

Here's that 1/2 pipe stuff, this is great! This is 3 hours condensed in 15 minutes! Nova Scotia shines, both on the sunny day, and on the podium.

Out to Kentville Mazda Used Car Center in Berwick Tomorrow to try to out sell Roddy Reeves. He taught me my first lessons in radio, let's see if he can school me in selling cars too! Acadia is on the ice at UNB tonight, can they stop the Reds, listen for Len Hawley at 6:40 tonight for the March of champions.
