BREAKFAST WITH JIMMY, AN AFTERNOON OF TV, AND AN EVENING OF HOCKEY NIGHT IN GREENWOOD

The day started off at the Meadowbrook Meat Market just south of Berwick . It was breakfast with all the proceeds to Meadowbrook's Camp Out for Kids Brigadoon Village team. If you have a chance to go their moto is if you leave hungry it's your own fault because not only is it a free will offering, it's all you can eat too. I have to admit I was humbled while we were eating breakfast, at the same time I was calling in a report to the station, and everyone who was eating in the little room I was in was listening and I got a round of applause when I was was finished my report. I'm not used to playing in front of a live audience anymore.

Here's a shot of Jim and Margie's shop. People ask me what makes them so successful, and not only do they produce their own meat, everything they sell is local! If you support the local area, the local area will support you. Jim gives thousands of dollars back to the community every year, and does it very quietly. You won't find too many better than Meadowbrook at knowing the Annapolis Valley and the people who live in it.

BELL IN THE GREENWOOD MALL

The front of the store Saturday early.

Stopping by to say hi.

I wanted to get my pic done, but there was too many children there.

Easter Bunny land even has chocolate carrots!

Back to the store, Sue Bent and I were watching wrestling on their flat screen HD TV on the Bell HD PVR, and I swear she was getting right into it and was going to give me a flying elbow smash off the desk! It's a great set up too, and you can bundle it with your Internet cell and home phone package too!

Shop local, I can't stress it enough!

I won't give you her name because she is shy...actually I heard a rumour that she is wanted in Texas for murder and is afraid they will track her down on the net if anyone gets a pic of her. Sorry L..., Miss. X.

HOCKEY FOR HAITI
A fun night at 14 wing Greenwood raising money for Haiti relief. The 14 Wing Selects played a team of my friends, the Jerry Neville All Stars. The Final score was 6-3 for 14 Wing, but the real winners were the families in Haiti who will be getting around a thousand bucks in cash.

This is me, look at the fine style, the grace, the "oh please don't let me fall down" fear!

These guys were flying!

This is the Mumford clan! Little sister Victoria, brother Justin, and AVR News hound Brian Mumford

Facing off at center ice.

Acadia University Assistant coach Mike Alcoe, who spent most of his time in the penalty box!

I didn't play in the first period, but after being behind I thought it was time to suit up and get in on the action. Did I help my team, I don't know...but they were laughing a lot more.

From left to right, Acadia University Assistant Coach Travis Young, Greenwood Minor hockey player Brandon Hawbolt, Assistant Manager Cleve's in Greenwood Russ S (can't spell your last name), Local MLA Leo Glavine, and my buddy Brian Rodda.

The shirts were too small!

The triple A Midgets Brandon and the 2 Seans. Their Coach Nick Greeno played too, but he must be in the bathroom.

This is Jenna Breckon who gave an excellent show between periods.

EASTER EGG HUNT AT OUR HOUSE

Jen had her nieces over for an Easter Egg Hunt, but it was too cold to do it outside, so we did it inside.

Here's Pepe looking all bored as per usual!

Good hiding spot under the shaving cream!

Ashley enjoying the loot!

Amanda is in chocolate heaven!

Alicia with a bag of calories!
Check out this documentary and you will want to shop more local than ever before!
