I was in for what I thought was a quiet Sunday after a wild Friday and Saturday. I was ready to watch some DVD's, eat my face off and maybe have a sip of wine. NO! Sunday Jen tells me we are picking out our Christmas tree. It's September I said. Do you want to do it now or go walking through waist deep snow and have all the good trees gone she said. I guess you're right is the only answer there, so off we go, our dog Pepe in the back and to find a tree. When we got there, not only were they not open, they weren't ready for people! I guess we were a little early eh Jen? The lady made special arrangements for us, and no we didn't pull the "we work for AVR" thing, she was just really nice. We found one and we now have the Nev-Pick Christmas tree for 2009. We have to go back and cut it down when we want it. After the Christmas tree trip I was feeling energetic, so I suggested we visit Misner Manor in Chipman Brook. Jen said we should stop and get some local veggies at Foote's on the way up, so we made an afternoon of it. Good thing we didn't buy cucumbers because Amanda's garden is still producing more than she can handle! Needless to say I'll be eating cucumbers for a bit! Thanks mommy Misner!
I have had letters from Sasha's (Amanda Misner's dog) lawyers not to print this picture, but I think the public needs to know about the mental abuse Amanda puts her dog through. Usually she comes running when I drive up, but not today. Why? Because she didn't want to be seen in this pink camo jacket! Chipman Brook will never be the same again! I still might call the SPCA.
On the way to Amanda Misner's house, we stopped in to Foote's Farm Market because when ever we can shop there we do. The prices are reasonable, and everything that can be local is! This peach was a freaky one, so i had to take a pic!
Jen starting our, as it turned out to be, hike, to find our Christmas tree.
